Jo Ellen Dyer, J.D.
Mediator/Arbitrator

As a trained and experienced mediator, Jo Ellen Dyer is a founding member of Innovative Dispute Resolution, LLC. Pursuant to the rules of the Kansas Supreme Court, she is an approved mediator for civil mediation and as a Mentor Mediator. She is also a licensed attorney in both Kansas and Texas. In 2005, she earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology and developed a passion for helping others discover the power that is derived from creative and mutual resolution of conflict.

Jo Ellen has a broad background in corporate law, with more than 30 years of work as General Counsel to various businesses and in other corporate and management positions. She has significant transactional/acquisition experience from both legal and business perspectives, as well as investor relations with private equity and institutional investors. Additionally, she has extensive legal and business experience in the areas of real estate management, contract negotiation, property rights, communications law and human resource management. She currently serves as co-coordinator and volunteer mediator for the Johnson County, Kansas District Court’s Limited Actions Mediation Project. Along with years of training and experience, her education and expertise in business, law, management and psychology make her well-suited to effectively mediate and arbitrate all types of civil disputes.
